FAQs
When can I sit an IGCSE Arabic exam?
The Edexcel IGCSE Arabic exam series offered here is in summer. Pass will confirm the exact dates for your booking before it is finalised.
Is there an IGCSE Arabic resit option for adults?
Yes. Adult learners can book an IGCSE Arabic resit with Pass as private candidates. This route is suitable if you need a recognised Arabic qualification for college, university, teacher training, heritage language recognition or career progression.
What is the pass mark for the IGCSE Arabic exam?
Pass marks vary each year because grade boundaries are set by the exam board after papers have been marked. Pass will help you understand the qualification structure, but the final grade boundary is confirmed by Edexcel.
What is a fast-track GCSE qualification?
A fast-track GCSE qualification means preparing for and sitting your exam in a shorter timeframe than a traditional school route. Many learners use this route when they need a recognised qualification quickly: Pass not only offers exam bookings for GCSEs online but also online course options.
Is there a speaking or listening component?
No. The Edexcel IGCSE Arabic (First Language) qualification is assessed entirely through written papers. Reading comprehension and writing skills are tested, but there is no separate speaking or listening assessment.
Can I take an GCSE exam online?
No. GCSE exams are not taken online because they must be sat in person under exam conditions. Pass can still support your preparation through online GCSE courses for select subjects, while your papers are completed at an exam centre.
Which exam board do you offer?
Pass offers Edexcel International GCSE Arabic (First Language), specification code 4AA1. This is a widely recognised qualification accepted by UK universities, colleges and employers.
Where will I sit my exam?
Your exam will be sat in person at a Pass-approved exam centre. Once your booking is in progress, Pass will confirm the venue details and any key instructions for your papers.
Can I access free revision materials?
Yes. Pass can direct learners to free IGCSE Arabic revision materials, and the Exam + Course option gives structured online support with vocabulary practice, grammar tutorials, practice questions and mock exams.
Is this qualification suitable for non-native Arabic speakers?
The Edexcel IGCSE Arabic qualification is designed as a first-language qualification, so it is best suited to heritage speakers or learners who already read and write Arabic to a high standard. If you are learning Arabic as a foreign language, Pass can advise on whether this is the right route for you.
